Our Story

Chris Strutz planted his citrus grove in 2010 after a long career as an agricultural pest control advisor.

Specializing in mandarins, the farm grows multiple varieties, as well as clementines, blood oranges, navel oranges, Valencia oranges, Cara Cara oranges, Meyer lemons, Lisbon lemons, kumquats, Buddha’s hand citron, Oro Blanco grapefruit, pomelo and limes.

Our orchard consists of persimmon, apple, pomegranate, peach, cherry, jujube & plum trees.

In the summer we specialize in heirloom tomatoes, and additionally grow herbs, cucumbers, summer squash, winter squash, melons and flowers. We have boysenberry & blackberries that are harvested fresh for the farm stand.

We are the only commercial grove orchard in Sacramento, historically there were many other growers especially in Orangevale & Citrus Heights.
